Survey of image processing used for mammography systems in the United Kingdom: how variable is it?

A poster contribution was presented by Dr. Alistair Mackenzie (Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, UK) at the 17th International Workshop in Breast Imaging (IWBI), held in Chicago (IL, USA), on 9–12 June 2024 (https://www.iwbi2024.org/).

The aim of the presented work is to undertake a national survey of the setup of mammography imaging systems in the UK, with a focus on image processing, software version and acquisition parameters. The possible effects of mammographic image presentation types on the output of AI software are discussed.
